Job functions

We are looking for a growth-minded Full-Stack developer to join our team. We're particularly excited to find a developer that has some exposure to user-driven digital ecommerce/SaaS/membership site funnels and A/B testing (Google Optimize). This role offers an exciting mix of developing differentiated internal tooling for our content team, as well as building innovative user-facing features to drive subscriber growth. You’ll be working directly with the lead engineer, as well as with our product, design, and research resources.

  • New feature development: building new site features based on user feedback and business priorities
  • Relational database management: creating new tables/views based on tables, managing database structure
  • CMS management: developing new features and functionality within our custom content management system enabling our content team to create and manage content
  • SaaS/subscription management: managing our subscription management processes and helping us create a streamlined conversion/checkout funnel
  • Ads setup and management: setting up, running tests, and managing our onsite ad units
  • A/B testing: setting up A/B and multivariate tests using Google Optimize (design tests, copy tests, ad tests, price tests, more complex tests requiring significant backend work)
  • Product analytics: creating new events whenever we launch a new feature/content format; helping us visualize and report on the metrics that matter using data visualization tools like Metabase
  • Code review and QA pre and post release (the product team will also be QAing)
  • Technical framework innovation: incorporating the latest frameworks to optimize speed and experience

Qualifications and requirements

  • Languages/frameworks: Ruby on Rails and React
  • 5+ years of development experience in an agile environment
  • Experience working on user-driven digital ecommerce/SaaS/membership site funnels
  • Experience creating landing pages and calls-to-action
  • Experience building onsite personalization for different audience segments
  • Intermediate or advanced spoken English is required

Desirable skills

  • Experience working on a content site
  • Experience with data warehousing and integrating multiple data sources
