Key Responsibilities

As a seasoned React TV Developer at Zaelot, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, scalable TV applications tailored to Smart TV platforms such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, and Roku. You will collaborate directly with international clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet exacting performance and usability standards.

Your daily tasks will involve implementing TV-specific UI/UX components, optimizing app performance considering resource constraints, and ensuring smooth remote control navigation. You will utilize modern development workflows and tools, including Git version control and debugging utilities, while actively participating in agile sprint cycles with cross-functional teams.

Collaboration and communication are critical, as you will be expected to coordinate closely with clients and team members, manage priorities independently, and contribute constructively during sprint planning and reviews. Your role also includes integrating REST APIs, adhering to component-based architecture principles, and performing performance tuning to create seamless media experiences.

Requirements

Experience Level: Mid-Advanced to Senior developer with a proven track record in React and JavaScript/TypeScript development.
Smart TV Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience building applications for Smart TV platforms such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV, and Roku, including an in-depth understanding of TV app constraints like remote navigation, performance optimization, and supporting varying screen resolutions.
Technical Skills: Proficient in React component-based architecture, REST API integration, and modern development workflows including Git and debugging tools.
Agile Methodology: Familiarity working within Agile frameworks and sprint-based development cycles.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective direct interaction with international clients, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage workload efficiently.
Language: Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, to facilitate smooth client communication and team collaboration.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience with native TV software development kits (SDKs) to deepen integration with underlying platforms.
Familiarity with video streaming protocols such as HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP), enhancing media delivery capabilities.
Background or interest in UI/UX design principles, particularly in media platform development, to contribute to superior user experiences.
