We're searching for a skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a growing team and build key infrastructure that seamlessly integrates data from multiple insurance carriers while also building their own API services for their own integration partners. Job functions

Design and develop robust backend infrastructure that integrates with multiple insurtech carrier partners as well as serves the needs of our web portal and integration partners.
Utilize your expertise in RESTful principles and API design best practices.
Leverage your knowledge of Typescript and popular API frameworks like Next.js and Nest.js.
Integrate with diverse carrier APIs to normalize insurance data across industries, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms.
Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering) to define and refine API requirements.
Continuously monitor API performance and implement updates and optimizations.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in API development.

Qualifications and requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years experience with building industry-critical software systems
Senior level experience with backend languages and frameworks
Proficient with Postgresql (or similar RDBMS) and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing
Familiarity with writing unit tests in Typescript
Experience with Google Cloud products such as Firebase, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage
Proficient withs Git
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be located in Latin America
