Ruby on Rails & React Developer in Devsu

We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails & React Developer to work remotely from anywhere in Latin America.

You would be part of a small team (2-3 people), working in an agile environment for an American client focused on the financial industry.

You would spend most of your time:

• Work with a small team of engineers to build scalable and maintainable applications.
• Work with engineering and product teams to scope level of effort for new features.
• Work autonomously to implement features.
• Develop unit and functional tests for new features.
• Develop basic UI and UX flows when design UX is not available.
• Investigate issues and errors that come up

• Be a great programmer
• Full-time availability (40 hours per week, regular business hours)
• Fluent in English
• 5+ years of experience developing advanced applications
• 2+ years of experience developing with Ruby on Rails
• 2+ years of experience developing with React
• Experience working with various external APIs and webhooks
• Experience with database design of relational databases such as Postgres or Mysql
• Experience with backend design patterns and strategies such as MVC, idempotency, adapters, serialization, asynchronous workloads, state machines
• Experience with test-driven development and tools
• Understanding of Agile methodologies

• Experience with above outlined current tech stack or comparable technologies
• Experience with common Ruby on Rails libraries such as MiniTest, FactoryBot, AASM, Sideki
