Senior Front-end Engineer (React) in IronLlama

IronLlama is a hardware and software consultancy that builds solutions for emerging, mid-size, and growing companies using innovative technologies, top talent, and nearshore teams. We are looking for a Semi Senior or Senior Software Engineer to join the engineering department here at IronLlama in New York City, with extensive experience building web applications using business-grade technologies using Node.js and React, updating apps with new versions of Node, that enjoy unit testing, who are always looking for optimal performance and have an interest in providing comprehensive and high-quality solutions to customers.

• You will work with Product and Design teams to build new products and improve features for current products.
• You will write, review and maintain code primarily in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Help guide our overall strategy through design, prototyping, and market research.
• Report directly to our head of technology.
• Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.

• More than 3 years of experience with React
• Familiar with GraphQL using Apollo
• A solid foundation of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience working with Object-Oriented Programming and Microservices
• High business level of verbal and written English.
• A background in refactoring large-scale systems
• Solid knowledge of testing principles

• A plus if you have experience/familiarity with:
  • NodeJS and Express
  • React Native
  • Docker containers, AWS
  • Relational and NoSql databases
• You must have a degree in Computer Engineering, T.I., Computer Science or similar.
