*This job is based in Chile (candidate must be based here), and reports to the team in Chile and the UK. Spanish and English fluency is mandatory.

What you will do

The Frontend Developer will be responsible for creating and implementing user-facing components of HumanForest’s web applications using modern frontend technologies such as Next.js 13, React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS/UnoCSS. They will work closely with the product team to bring product visions to life, and collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in frontend development. Past experience working on SaaS or advertising platforms is a plus.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in front-end development.
  • Expertise in modern frontend technologies such as Next.js 13, React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS/UnoCSS.
  • Proficient in consuming RESTful APIs and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively with the UK team.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Casbin, Firebase Auth, and JWT for authentication and authorization.
  • Knowledge of CDN best practices and experience in implementing them.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG and APCA) and best practices for inclusive design.
  • Experience with localization platforms, such as Crowdin, and a strong understanding of localization best practices.
  • Experience with Docker for containerization.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools, such as Linear, Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Experience deploying applications on GCP, and familiarity with other platforms (Vercel, Railway, Render).
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
