Software Engineer in Queritel

Queritel is a technology startup in market research and consumer insights industry.
Queritel helps organizations, governments and for-profit companies answer crucial questions. By completing tasks, our data collectors help these groups understand how residents feel about their local health services, infrastructural improvements needed or the price of certain products in stores. We have worked in over 16 countries (English and Spanish speaking).

Through the implementation of a new marketing strategy Queritel aims to improve our digital marketing, lead generation results, brand message and value proposition communication with customer segments and users.

Design interfaces to improve user experience
Creating features for web applications
Troubleshoot and debug to optimize web performance
Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions

• 3+ year of professional web development experience
• Solid understanding of HTML/JS/CSS for front-end development
• A reasonable understanding of PHP (and/or any PHP framework)
• Solid understanding of a web application lifecycle
• Understanding of OOP design principles
• Proficient in Git or other version control systems
• Good understanding of content management systems
• Intermediate to advanced-level spoken and written English
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

• Excellent visual design skills
• Creative and open to new ideas
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques
• Minimal experience with Java / Swift (recommended but not required)
