We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Software Engineer with extensive experience working with Ruby on Rails to join our team.

You will be part of a talented software development team that creates and maintains the software used by thousands of sports clubs around the world. 🌐

Job functions

Design and implement RESTfull and GraphQL APIs
Design and implement scalable software solutions, following engineering best practices
Proactively identify and resolve technical debt
Provide technical guidance and help drive engineering initiatives
Stay current on new technologies and share knowledge with the team

Qualifications and requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably working in the Ruby on Rails ecosystem
Expertise in Ruby and one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript
Experience writing well tested code (Rspec or Minintest)
Good knowledge of websockets & other networking protocols
Strong knowledge of software design & how to write efficient, maintainable and fast code with the right data structures and algorithms
Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, React
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc) a plus
Excellent problem solver with strong analytical and debugging skills
Great communicator and team player

Desirable skills

Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue or Angular
Experience with SQL and how to write optimized queries
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
