SimTecMD is a game design company focused on the healthcare field.

Our challenges are related with the creation of a virtual patient, so forget plugins, code copied from the web and stack overflow. We are inventing the wheel here so consider that if you want to apply this job. The VR patient and the Standalone Android game has been a real challenge during the past years.

Camera meetings and hang out meetings are usual here even in hard and difficult technical tasks weeks, we support each other in issues of the office even considering the remote locations of all the team members.

We are offering a probationary period as a contractor with the possibility to be an employee starting the second year based in your performance.

• Programming and adding new features and interactions to our VR patient following the guidelines in our SOP.
• Working closely with other Engineers, to design a game solution that will deliver highest possible value to the end users.
• Commitment in achieving the goals that are leading us towards the Product goal and helping other team members.
• Having courage to do the right thing it hard moments.
• Share pictures, music, have fun with us! + work hard. Online chess and related are a plus.

• UE4 proficient. We work in UE5.
• To have a valid work permit or to be a citizen is a must.
• US applicants will be considered too.
• To have a Meta Quest 2 or to be able to buy one asap (mandatory), if you don't have one and you need to buy it, we can reimburse it after the 6th month with us and if you pass the probationary 3 months. Don't worry, we know you will be new here, so you'll have a proper introduction and training.
• At least 3 years of working experience in Unreal Engine.
• Good English could be native and/or equivalent to C1 or IELTS average 7.0 with every independent test result over 6.0. We won't ask for a certificate, this will be analyzed in the interview (CRS = 8)

• Good knowledge about bones and sockets.
• Character animation, Maya, Reallusion suite. Others.
• Some Spanish, Italian or Russian is a plus.
• UE5 experience
• VR previous experience.
• Server management, html, databases, C++.

• Salary will be paid in CAD; reference range is at November USD to CAD conversion.
• Fully remote
• Salary range will rise monthly between the range offered depending in your performance.
• Second year salary could be negotiated.
• Flexible working hours and adaptation to working schedule in the range inside the Americas. (GMT-4 to GMT-8) Considering the daily meetings are a must.
