Calyptia is an open-source company that focuses on solving Observability challenges for cloud environments. We are the creators and maintainers of Open Source projects Fluentd and Fluent Bit, which are all about logs and metrics processing.

We build Enterprise products, Developer tools, and open-source projects around the Fluent ecosystem. We are a proud member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).

Fluent Bit is deployed more than 2 million times per day, and the enterprise and specifically Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure depends on this technology. We are taking our open source projects to the Enterprise-grade level and we have several challenges to solve at scalability and usability levels.

Our company is formed by individuals located in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, United States, Spain, Japan, Australia, Nigeria, Turkey and UK among others.

Job functions

  • Manage virtual server infrastructure on top of GCP and AWS and other cloud services.
  • Manage the internal IT services (such as authentication, external services. monitoring, automate all the things!).
  • Work on CI/CD improvements.
  • Develop monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Improve service reliability for our workloads.

Qualifications and requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or SRE.
  • You are skilled managing AWS and GCP workloads.
  • You are skilled with CI/CD pipelines on top of Github Actions.
  • You are strong on at least one scripting language (Bash/Python desirable).
  • You are skilled on Terraform, Prometheus and Grafana.
  • You know how to manage a Kubernetes cluster / and have a CKAD level developer certification.
  • You are good at documenting issues and decisions.

Desirable skills

  • Certified for AWS or GCP.
  • Certified CKA / CKAD
  • Experience with Cloud Guardian / Cost saving tools.
  • Experience setting up SAML or directory based authentication.
