Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of global IT infrastructure, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and endpoint management.
  • Own identity and access management, authentication protocols, and onboarding/offboarding workflows to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including hardware provisioning, software deployments, asset lifecycle management, and helpdesk services with measurable SLAs.
  • Manage critical platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack) and device management ecosystems (Jamf, Intune), ensuring proper configuration, patching, and system hygiene.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align IT capabilities with business goals, enabling a seamless digital experience for globally distributed teams.
  • Develop and enforce security policies; coordinate vulnerability management, audits, and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
  • Cultivate relationships with IT vendors, MSPs, and software providers; negotiate contracts, track SLAs, and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Lead IT projects from discovery through delivery, including platform migrations, security enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Mentor and coach an IT team, fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strong customer service.

Required capabilities and experience

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic IT leader with at least 5+ years of progressive IT experience and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, enterprise software, endpoint/device management, and IT governance. You should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a track record of delivering secure, scalable IT environments in global or multi-site organizations. Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jamf/Intune, Airtable, Zapier, Salesforce, AWS, Okta, and related security practices is highly desirable. Experience in PE/VC, financial services, or fast-growing startups is a plus.

Nice-to-have qualifications

Project management or certifications (PMP, CAPM, SCRUM) are advantageous. Prior experience supporting IT in PE/VC settings, startups, or multi-national teams can accelerate impact. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable) and experience coordinating with auditors is valued. Strong vendor negotiation skills, budgeting acumen, and a customer-service mindset will help you thrive in this role.
