QA Automation Engineer (Mobile) in Apply Digital Latam

Then you may be ready to take on the overall responsibility of a Quality Assurance Analyst at Apply Digital.

As an intermediate QA Analyst within Apply Digital, you will help contribute to the overall company strategy by validating that the application meets design specifications and requirements. This includes iOS applications, Android applications, Web applications, Voice Recognition, AR, IoT, and any other digital to human interfaces. The products should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with the supported devices, browsers, user interfaces. Functions include:

• Assist QA manager by taking ownership of QA tasks for a number of projects.
• Create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation.
• Create and maintain test automation scripts for mobile apps, both iOS and Android (preferably using Javascript with Appium).
• Aid in manual testing when needed.
• Work collaboratively within high-performance teams (e.g. product managers, developers, UI, and UX designers) to champion product quality for our clients.
• Escalate critical issues, blockers, and risks in a timely manner to minimize the impact on project timelines.
• Assess the quality health of a project to determine whether or not the project is ready for release.
• Remove obstacles so that projects are delivered in a timely manner.
• Document and track defects according to the company’s standards in a bug tracking system.
• Debug and troubleshoot defects to help our developers fix issues efficiently.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning.
• Participate in reviews of requirements, UX/UI designs, and other deliverables for testability.
• Proactively help improve quality methodologies /processes within the organization to increase efficiency and redundancy.
• Represent the customer’s voice when it comes to the high-quality expectation that our client entrusts in us.

• You have a bachelor’s degree within Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• You have 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• You having experience creating and maintaining test automation scripts for native mobile apps (preferably with Appium using Javascript).
• You are experienced in cross-browser, UI/UX, and iOS/Android/desktop testing.
• You have a deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• You have a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.
• You have experience providing mentorship to other team members on QA best practices and methodologies
• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You’re self-driven and take ownership of tasks from beginning to completion
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You are able to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• You are detail-oriented, incredibly meticulous, and you enjoy the fine attention to detail required to spot, prevent, and troubleshoot any issues before our clients find them
