Job functions

We’re now looking to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team to help us scale & make our processes more efficient. You'll be leading the way for best practices & laying the foundation for DevOps engineering.

We are a fully distributed startup in all of North & South America. We don’t believe that people need to sacrifice being close to their families and where they’d prefer to live in order to do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • The DevOps engineer is responsible for laying the framework and foundation for DevOps and for helping our engineering teams scale and make their processes more efficient
  • You will take application source code from repository to deployment in a manner that is maintainable, scalable & repeatable
  • You will provide expertise and support for technologies and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.
  • You will support and maintain internal applications that support the build and release process

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of work experience in a DevOps role
  • Extensive experience with Terraform, or equivalent (e.g., Ansible)
  • Deep experience with container technologies such as Docker & Kubernetes
  • Experience writing applications and tools in Python
  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Experience with source control, git or equivalent
  • Experience in AWS at scale leveraging core services such as Lambda, RDS, and EC2, EKS, ECS, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with operational / monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Sumo Logic, or AWS CloudWatch
  • A solid understanding of CI/CD, logging, and monitoring
