Job functions

You will be a core member of the platform team and will lead the operation of all the tenants running on our Kubernetes cluster. You will be a key person in helping expand our operational footprint to support the incoming demand for our insurance products. You will also create and manage the roadmap to SLO adoption and initial SLIs for all platform services and applications. You will also interact with the infrastructure team to take over the essential administrative functions of our database operator. It will be required for you to be deeply involved in designing and planning deployment strategies for application workloads with varying enterprise, governmental or institutional requirements.

Day to day:

  • Abstract complex requirements, develop the product vision, and continually test your assumptions while driving your product vision to a successful implementation.
  • Engage with large enterprise customers to develop a substantive understanding of their domain, complex problems, and perspectives on solutions.
  • Gather feature feedback and requirements for features under development, and work with the engineering team to prioritize feature work.
  • Plan the future of the product alongside the Engineering and Science Team.
  • Manage relationships with our enterprise customer stakeholders.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Production level experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Istio, and Jenkins
  • Fluent in gRPC/REST microservices design/operations
  • Production level experience deploying containerized web applications and services
  • AWS, Gitlab, Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring (Grafana/Prometheus), Opentelemetry
  • Strong security mindset
  • Strong English and Spanish communication skills (written and oral).

  • Open Policy Agent
  • Experience with financial applications and regulated environments
  • A curious generalist when it comes to software engineering
