The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is a hands-on member of the Engineering team, collaborating with the Product Management team to automate the deployment, testing, provisioning, monitoring, securing and management of NodeSource's infrastructure.

You will also be in charge of releasing the company's software and maintaining mission-critical open source tools.

The ideal SRE candidate will have experience with the management of CI/CD systems in multiple environments using a variety of tools, implemented also to automate the provisioning of the infrastructure.

This position is completely remote, like the culture of the entire company

Requerimientos del cargo

  • Strong experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM, RDS, Elasticsearch, Elasticache, System Manager, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3).
  • Experience managing CI/CD systems with AWS Developer Tools (CodeBuild, CodePipeline).
  • Good understanding of auto scaling, load balancing and application high availability.
  • Experience with IaC tools specially with Troposphere (CloudFormation), Terraform and Ansible. - Strong scripting experience with bash and Python (PowerShell is desirable), experience scripting/coding in Javascript is a plus.
  • Good experience with Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes/ECS in virtualized Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS).
  • Ability to support and train development teams in becoming self-sufficient with the CI/CD pipelines management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. - 2+ years hands on experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer.
