The Telecommunications Administrator will work within an international environment, managing and supporting Microsoft Teams telephony platforms and telecommunication infrastructures. This role ensures operational continuity and quality of telephony services as part of broader IT communication projects.

Activities

  • Manage, support, and maintain Microsoft Teams Communication platforms including Operator Connect, Direct Routing, and Meeting Rooms.
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and configure AudioCodes Session Border Controllers (SBC) and the One Voice Operations Center (OVOC).
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and configure user endpoints such as desk phones, softphones, and mobile clients.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for telephony infrastructure and users.
  • Utilize knowledge of SIP, ISDN, PRI, and BRI protocols to diagnose and resolve telephony issues.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and communicate advanced and complex telephony problems effectively.
  • Handle standard service requests and incident tickets on a daily basis to maintain service quality.
  • Support the implementation of low to medium complexity projects and tasks related to telephony services.

Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of basic telephony principles and codecs such as G711 and G722.
  • Knowledge of telephony protocols including SIP, MGCP, RTP, and H.323.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams telephony platform, including Operator Connect and Direct Routing.
  • Experience in implementing and troubleshooting Quality of Service (QoS) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Wireshark and other trace analysis tools for troubleshooting network and telephony issues.
  • Understanding of WAN protocols and the TCP/IP model.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills in IP telephony and networking environments.
  • Ability to work effectively within an international team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.
  • Knowledge of VMware tools is required but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Call Quality Dashboard is desirable but not mandatory.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with VMware virtualization tools enhances the candidate's ability to manage virtualized telephony environments.
  • Familiarity with Call Quality Dashboard tools assists in monitoring and improving call performance and troubleshooting.
  • Prior experience working in international teams or multinational environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AudioCodes SBC configuration and Unified Communications infrastructure.
