Responsibilities

  • Own PR intake and account management for partner accounts: triage requests from Partnerships/program leads/external partners, translate account and program goals into PR briefs, set timelines/SLAs, and keep stakeholders updated.
  • Plan and execute account-specific PR campaigns that elevate gener8tor programming (OnRamp, gBETA, Investment & Skills Accelerators, Creative Music) and deliver value for partner accounts (e.g., applications, attendance, thought leadership, brand lift).
  • Draft co-branded press materials (press releases, media advisories, pitches, talking points, bylines, case studies) that spotlight partner impact and program outcomes; ensure messaging aligns with both gener8tor and partner brand guidelines.
  • Proactively pitch stories to media relevant to each partner’s industry and program focus; secure coverage that drives program KPIs and amplifies partner visibility.
  • Coordinate media moments around program milestones (cohort announcements, demo days, challenge launches, partnership news) to showcase partner collaboration and program success.
  • Maintain account-facing reporting (coverage, reach, message pull-through, backlinks, SOV) and translate results into actionable next steps for partners and program teams.
  • Build and maintain targeted media lists mapped to partner industries and program verticals; cultivate reporter relationships on behalf of our accounts.
  • Package earned media for amplification (social, newsletters, web, event signage) in collaboration with Design/Social/Web so partners can promote programs and outcomes across their channels.
  • Uphold partner approval workflows (legal/brand/PR review) and keep a clean CRM/PRM with account-level tracking, contacts, and follow-ups.
  • Support issues/crisis communications affecting partners or programs, with clear escalation and pre-approved messaging.
  • Manage multiple projects and a high volume of asks while meeting SLAs and deadlines; continuously improve processes to deliver reliable value to accounts.

  • 2+ years in public relations, communications, or agency account work (startup, VC, tech, creative, or corporate-innovation experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated success placing stories and running PR campaigns; strong reporter and creator relationships preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an eye for clear, concise, on-brand messaging.
  • Proven account management capability: high-volume inbox/queue management, prioritization, stakeholder comms, and on-time delivery.
  • Familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater), project tools (e.g., Asana, Trello), CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and Google Workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfort collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and program leads.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Event support experience (press check-ins, on-site coordination, speaker prep) (a plus).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter.
