🎯 Community what?

We know, this is a new role. What we are doing is also new! So read on and find out if you are a match.
This role is:

40% Community and Developer relations. You will actively engage and build close relationships with Developer and professional communities throughout Latin America. Our Community team will help you get set up.
30% Customer relations. You will also be close to our top customers, helping them be successful finding awesome talent. In this, you will be helped by our existing Sales and Success teams.
30% Talent sourcing. You will leverage your networks and community relationships to help bring applicants to hard-to-find positions published by those customers.

You will be helping bridge a gap between our customers and the talent they want to reach. So this role is a mix of both sides. Every role in Get on Board is a mix of something else, actually, so you MUST enjoy wearing many hats.

This is a fully, permanently remote position. You can be anywhere. It's better if you live in the Americas, but it's not strictly required.

☝️You are a match if you...

You are really familiar with technology and startups. You don't need to know coding, but you DO have to know about technology and how it's built. You are familiar with roles, skills and stacks. You most likely have worked in a startup before. We will test you!
You already have engaged with technology communities in Latin America. You have experience organizing events, or leading a coding school, or maybe you have been a community leader yourself!
You enjoy doing Public Relations. You have experience building partnerships, reaching out to new markets. Ideally in several countries — you will have to do this throughout Latin America. If you have been a DevRel before, you know what we are talking about. 😉
Have awesome interpersonal skills. Related to the above — you must enjoy meeting new people and building relationships with people from different countries and cultures.
You are comfortable dealing with clients. You communicate clearly, can manage customer expectations, and can maintain good spirits in the face of difficult conversations.
You thrive in uncertainty and continuous change. We are fast-paced and like to be able to turn on a dime. If you are looking for a steady, predictable role, this is NOT for you.

You can apply in Spanish, but youmust be fluent communicating in English, especially in written form.

🚀 Bonus points

Not required, but you will really stand out from the crowd if any of the following apply to you:

You have advanced English skills (conversational in particular)
You have networks in more than one major Latin-American country
You have had leadership or high-visibility positions in Latin-American startups
You have been a DevRel
You have some experience in guerrilla marketing or growth hacking
