Primary Responsibilities

  • Find the Right Nonprofits: Proactively identify and research mission-aligned nonprofits with strong communities, marketing presence, and values that complement Penji’s brand ethos.
  • Qualify & Vet Partners: Assess potential nonprofit partners to ensure they can sustain a mutually beneficial exchange—providing promotion, marketing participation, or special initiative support in return for donated design services.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the main liaison for all nonprofit partners, maintaining consistent and timely communication, understanding their design needs, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Coordinate Tasks: Lead nonprofits through their partnership responsibilities, such as sharing Penji’s brand on social media, submitting testimonials, or participating in case studies.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to transform nonprofit partnership stories into engaging content including articles, videos, social media posts, and feature pieces.
  • Outreach and Expansion: Continuously seek and pitch new nonprofit partners via email, LinkedIn, and community groups to broaden Penji’s impact footprint.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular evaluations to measure partnership effectiveness; make data-driven decisions to adjust or sunset underperforming relationships.
  • Campaign Collaboration: Work with the Partnerships Coordinator to uncover and execute joint campaign opportunities such as giveaways, design marathons, and cause marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting: Track and report key partnership metrics including the number of nonprofit partners, impressions or leads generated, and value of donated services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze partnership processes monthly to identify bottlenecks and introduce innovative improvements to maximize nonprofit outcomes and Penji’s brand reach.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses a blend of excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills combined with the ability to assess partnership potential and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to serve as the primary interface between Penji and nonprofit partners.
  • Strong research and evaluation capabilities to identify and vet nonprofit organizations effectively.
  • Project management skills to coordinate activities, deadlines, and deliverables for multiple partners simultaneously.
  • Marketing savvy to collaborate with internal teams and support promotional efforts leveraging partnership stories.
  • Analytical mindset to track partnership performance metrics and make informed decisions on sustaining or adjusting relationships.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fully remote environment across time zones.
  • Experience in nonprofit sector partnerships, corporate social responsibility, or marketing related roles would be highly beneficial.
  • A passion for mission-driven work and a strong alignment with Penji’s culture of excellence and impact.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience and skills will be highly regarded:
  • Previous experience managing nonprofit partnerships or corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Background in marketing, community engagement, or communications.
  • Familiarity with tools such as CRM systems, social media platforms, and project management software.
  • Ability to create compelling content or assist in storytelling efforts to promote partnership outcomes.
  • Experience working remotely with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing company.
  • Interest or prior experience in the design industry or creative services sector.
