Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and take ownership of Data Science projects, ensuring delivery of high-impact solutions.
  • Develop, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions in production environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Scientists and Engineers on the team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams, including U.S.-based collaborators.
  • Drive innovation by applying knowledge in Python, statistics, scientific computing, and bioinformatics to real-world problems.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience managing Data Science teams and owning projects across industry and academia.
  • Strong expertise in Python programming, statistical analysis, scientific computing, and bioinformatics.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud machine learning platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI), AWS, or Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deploy ML solutions fully in production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in conversational English to effectively collaborate with U.S.-based teams.
  • Ability to mentor and guide scientists and engineers, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with Generative AI use cases, including natural language processing (NLP) and scientific modeling.
  • Contributions to academic or editorial publications in AI, computer science, or mathematics.
  • Teaching or mentoring experience in graduate-level data science or machine learning programs.
