Key Responsibilities

Lead and take ownership of Data Science projects, ensuring delivery of high-impact solutions.
Develop, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions in production environments.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Scientists and Engineers on the team.
Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and teams, including U.S.-based collaborators.
Drive innovation by applying knowledge in Python, statistics, scientific computing, and bioinformatics to real-world problems.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience managing Data Science teams and owning projects across industry and academia.
Strong expertise in Python programming, statistical analysis, scientific computing, and bioinformatics.
Hands-on experience with cloud machine learning platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI), AWS, or Azure.
Demonstrated ability to build and deploy ML solutions fully in production environments.
Excellent communication skills in conversational English to effectively collaborate with U.S.-based teams.
Ability to mentor and guide scientists and engineers, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience working with Generative AI use cases, including natural language processing (NLP) and scientific modeling.
Contributions to academic or editorial publications in AI, computer science, or mathematics.
Teaching or mentoring experience in graduate-level data science or machine learning programs.
