Head of Partnerships in Get on Board

Closed job - No longer receiving applicants

Did you hear about Get on Board? Well, you’re looking at it right now πŸ˜‰. We are set to shape and transform the digital job market in Latin America, giving startups and tech innovators the spotlight they deserve and helping talented digital professionals find better, more fulfilling workplaces. We are proudly part of Batch 26 of 500 Startups San Francisco.
We can only realize this mission if we expand and grow, and this is where you come into play.

🀝 This job is about...

  • Building and owning the strategic roadmap for market entry and expansion across Latin America, with Mexico and Colombia as priorities.
  • Sourcing, onboarding, and growing relationships: with potential partners in the market that meet our criteria.
  • Ideating and executing strategies that ensure market penetration and expansion.
  • Measuring and reporting partnership goals: KPIs, OKRs, and other metrics that evidence progress of reached market share.
  • Having your finger on the pulse of market opportunities in the region, and crafting plans for entry into new and existing markets.
  • Create and own a partnership pipeline (CRM).
  • This is NOT a Business Development or Sales role. We are specifically looking for non-commercial relationship development.

😎 About you

  • You love doing Public Relations. You have experience building partnerships, and reaching out to new markets in several countries β€” you will have to do this across Latin America.
  • You have an international network of people related to the tech ecosystem in Latin America. You have already built meaningful, fulfilling relationships with key actors in the ecosystem (maybe as a community organizer, or as a head of PR in a tech startup, as a DevRel, an analyst in a VC firm, leading a university accelerator, etc). If your scope of connections is limited to one country only, or if your network is not related to the tech industry, this job is not for you.
  • You are at home with technology and startups. You don't need to know to code, but you DO have to feel comfortable about technology and how it's built. You are familiar with roles, skills, and stacks. You are up-to-date on tech trends and are continuously nurturing your knowledge on the subject.
  • You thrive in uncertainty and continuous change. We are fast-paced and like to be able to turn on a dime. If you are looking for a steady, predictable role, this is NOT for you.
  • You have awesome interpersonal skills. You must enjoy meeting new people and building relationships with people from different countries and cultures. People like you.
  • Your communication skills are outstanding. You are able to quickly capture our voice and be the face of our culture and brand to our partners.
You may apply in Spanish, but you must be fluent in communicating in English, especially in written form. You must be ready to bring references of key actors in the ecosystem that know you well (we will reference-check with them).

πŸš€ Bonus points

Not required, but you will really stand out from the crowd if any of the following apply to you:
  • You have advanced English skills (conversational in particular)
  • Your networks are strong in Mexico and Colombia
  • You have networks in the US
  • You have had leadership or high-visibility positions in Latin-American startups, venture firms or other ecosystem actors

πŸ’Œ Our offer to you
