Job Description

As a Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer, you’ll join our core product team to build and scale features using Node.js (with Express) and React (functional components). You’ll work across the full development lifecycle—from designing APIs to deploying production-ready code and shaping architecture decisions that drive our platform forward.

Your responsibilities will include:

Building REST APIs and scalable web systems from scratch or enhancing existing projects
Participating in technical planning across the backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers
Developing backend services and features using Node.js and Express
Writing clean, maintainable code and conducting peer code reviews
Testing and QA'ing your own services before delivery
Collaborating closely with developers and product owners to align technical implementation with product goals
Supporting deployment, debugging, and troubleshooting as needed

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess:

Advanced JavaScript skills
Strong experience with Node.js and Express for back-end development
Proficiency in React.js and functional components
Understanding of the DOM and synchronous/asynchronous operations
Experience with ORMs (we utilize Sequelize)
Familiarity with Redux and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Proficiency in Git workflows
B1 English level for effective communication (most developers speak Spanish, but understanding English is essential)

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills would be advantageous:

Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and how to apply them in complex systems
Experience using Redux for managing application state in large-scale React apps
Proficiency with Express.js, particularly in building and scaling RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda)
Knowledge of Swift, especially for bridging web and mobile platform features
Spanish fluency (our core engineering team communicates primarily in Spanish)
Experience working in or building software for the construction industry—especially in scheduling, planning, or field coordination tools
