Tritone Analytics, Inc. is a music-technology startup blending creative innovation with deep data science. As an Agentic AI Engineering Intern, you will contribute to building autonomous AI workflows and supporting data-heavy backend services. You will help design and test LLM-based agent workflows, assist in building autonomous agents (ReAct, tool-use, planning agents), and implement modular components for API, database, and data-cleaning tool integration. You will participate in ETL/data engineering tasks, ingesting and normalizing messy datasets, and you will gain exposure to evaluating AI models and prompts across prompt templates and tool-use scenarios. This internship provides hands-on experience with FastAPI/Flask backends, Python microservices, asynchronous communication patterns, and data pipelines in a fast-moving startup environment.

Apply through Get on Board.

What you will do

  • Build and Test LLM-Based Agent Workflows
  • Assist in building autonomous agents (ReAct, tool-use, planning agents)
  • Use frameworks such as DSPy, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom orchestration
  • Implement modules where agents call APIs, databases, data-cleaning tools, and validation functions
  • Support Python backend development for microservices (FastAPI/Flask)
  • Implement data parsing, validation, and transformation logic
  • Work with asynchronous HTTP requests and message passing
  • Contribute to ETL/data engineering tasks to ingest, clean, and normalize datasets
  • Map fields across DSP and royalty sources; participate in deduplication and metadata resolution
  • Assist with evaluating AI models and prompts; test LLM behaviors across prompts
  • Measure tool-use reliability and agent correctness; identify failure modes in reasoning and data interpretation

Required Skills & Experience

We understand this is an intern role and do not expect mastery. We seek candidates with strong Python fundamentals and a keen interest in AI systems engineering. You should have exposure to backend development and data processing, with curiosity about agentic AI and automation.
  • Strong Python programming fundamentals
  • Experience with at least one backend framework (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
  • Familiarity with data processing libraries (Pandas, Polars, NumPy)
  • Database basics (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite)
  • Exposure to LLMs or AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, OpenAI function calling, Anthropic tooling, Ollama, HuggingFace, or similar)
  • Projects, coursework, or personal experiments count toward experience

Nice to Have

Experience calling APIs or building simple ETL scripts; familiarity with embeddings or vector search; asynchronous Python (async/await); basic AWS experience (S3, Lambda); knowledge of ISRC/ISWC/metadata concepts (not required).

Benefits

Benefits to be discussed at time of conversion to a full-time role. This internship offers paid compensation with potential for future extension. Tritone Analytics is a music-technology startup offering a dynamic, collaborative environment with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge AI-driven music data projects. We value curiosity, rapid learning, and a hands-on approach.
