OpenLoop is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Lima, Peru. This role will be a member of the Development Team.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for autonomously designing and implementing cloud-native solutions, specifically on AWS. This role requires a high degree of independence in technical architecture and project and stakeholder management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and resilient systems that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Cloud-Native Solutions Design: Autonomously architect and develop scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
Project Management: Take full ownership of projects from conception through deployment, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical contact for stakeholders, effectively communicating project statuses, proposals, and technical solutions.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, promoting best practices in cloud architecture and development.
Continuous Improvement: Actively seek out and implement improvements in system architecture, development processes, and technology adoption.

Requirements

3 years of experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), ideally with experience in using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for deploying cloud infrastructure.
5 years of experience with TypeScript and React code.
Experience with payment systems such as stripe, mercado pago, etc.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Ability to present ideas in a clean, user-friendly way.
Fluency in English (C1) and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Available to work on a hybrid work mode.

Desirable skills

Experience working with Zoho and Healthie is considered a plus (desired).
