As a Renewal Manager in our Commercial Negotiation Specialist track, you will own the renewal outcome for a curated portfolio of enterprise customers, ensuring alignment between our platform's proven value and the customer's strategic objectives. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance to defend value, optimize contract terms, and drive revenue health. This role sits at the intersection of commercial acumen and relationship management, helping clients realize maximum ROI from their investment while safeguarding our margins and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete renewal lifecycle for a dedicated portfolio of high-value SaaS customers, from value review to final contract signature.
  • Lead commercial discussions, articulate ROI and strategic value, and defend pricing while addressing stakeholders across procurement, finance, and executive teams.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to identify and implement expansion opportunities (upsells, cross-sells) within the same renewal cycle.
  • Develop robust business cases and financial justifications with internal partners (Sales, Legal, Finance) to mitigate renewal risk and accelerate commitments.
  • Forecast and report on renewal outcomes, renewal rates, and expansion potential with accuracy and accountability.
  • Navigate complex negotiations in a fast-paced SaaS environment, adapting to changing deal dynamics and client needs.
  • Maintain a professional, confident presence in all interactions, balancing assertiveness with customer-centric problem solving.
  • Contribute to process improvements by sharing insights on pricing, terms, and competitive positioning to optimize future renewals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in high-stakes SaaS renewals or commercial negotiations, with a quota-bearing or renewal-focused background.
  • Strong ability to quantify and articulate business value, ROI, and strategic impact of our platform to executive and procurement teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; able to engage with senior stakeholders, listen actively, and respond with clarity and confidence.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance to build compelling commercial justifications and favorable terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously, maintain accurate forecasting, and meet renewal timelines.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in using data to guide negotiation strategy and pricing discussions.
  • Comfort with change, resilience in the face of objections, and a proactive, self-driven approach.
  • Previous exposure to subscription-based revenue models and ARR calculations is highly desirable.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Renewal Manager, CSM with renewal focus, or senior account management in a SaaS environment.
  • Knowledge of license models, terms optimization, and contract negotiation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RevOps concepts and cross-functional alignment to maximize customer value and long-term retention.
  • Multilingual capabilities or regional experience in global enterprise markets.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and navigate complex procurement processes.
