What You'll Do

1. Migration Planning and Strategy:
Develop a comprehensive migration plan, outlining the step-by-step process, timeline, and resource requirements.
Evaluate the existing on-premises Jira and Confluence configurations to identify potential challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

2. Data Migration:
Execute the migration process, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from on-premises instances to the Atlassian Cloud.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data throughout the migration process.
Address data mapping, migration script development, and testing.

3. Configuration and Customization:

Recreate and optimize workflows, custom fields, permissions, and configurations in the Atlassian Cloud to align with business requirements.

Rebuild any custom scripts, plugins, or integrations that were previously in use.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough testing of the migrated Jira and Confluence instances to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Collaborate with end-users to validate the functionality and usability of the migrated environments.

5. Documentation and Training:
Create comprehensive documentation of the migration process, configurations, and best practices.
Provide training and support to end-users and administrators on the new Atlassian Cloud platforms.

6. Post-Migration Support:
Monitor the performance and stability of the migrated Jira and Confluence instances.
Proactively address and troubleshoot any post-migration issues or user concerns.

Qualifications and requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Atlassian Jira and Confluence Migration Specialist to lead the migration of our on-premises Jira and Confluence instances to the Atlassian Cloud (SaaS) platform. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing our use of these essential collaboration and project management tools.

What You Know

  • You must reside in Chile
  • Advanced english skills are mandatory
  • Proven experience with migrating Atlassian Jira and Confluence from on-premises to SaaS environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence, and proficiency in their configuration and administration.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills for data migration and customization.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their integration capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
