Role and Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest large volumes of behavioral and transactional data into centralized data warehouses.
Manage seamless data synchronization processes between our data lake, data warehouse, and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) such as Segment and Hightouch to ensure data consistency and availability.
Lead data quality assurance (QA) initiatives by establishing automated monitoring and reconciliation practices that ensure data accuracy and integrity across all platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to optimize data flow and support analytics and reporting needs.
Architect scalable and reliable data infrastructure that supports evolving business requirements and real-time analytics.
Provide technical leadership and guidance in best practices for data retention, security, and governance within the data management lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

We are seeking a senior Data Engineer / Architect with strong expertise in building and managing complex data pipelines and architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with modern data warehousing solutions and Customer Data Platforms integration.

Proficient in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as Apache Airflow, dbt, or equivalent orchestration tools.
Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for data processing and automation.
Experience integrating data lakes with cloud data warehouses and managing real-time or batch data synchronization with CDPs (e.g., Segment, Hightouch).
Proven ability to lead data quality assurance processes, including automated monitoring, validation, and reconciliation methodologies.
Solid understanding of data governance principles, data privacy, and compliance considerations.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to explain complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

Experience with cloud infrastructure management using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Background in machine learning data pipelines or real-time streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark Streaming.
Certifications in cloud data engineering, big data technologies, or related fields.
Experience working in agile development environments and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
