This job offer is available on Get on Board.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own Financial Operations: We are seeking a professional to manage day-to-day accounting and lead the month-end close process. You will prepare internal financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) and key SaaS metrics like ARR, gross margin, churn, LTV, and CAC. You will maintain clean books in QuickBooks Online and oversee integrations with Stripe, Chargebee, and Gusto. You will code and reconcile employee expenses and corporate credit card transactions using tools like Fyle. You will oversee inventory reporting by coordinating with the hardware team to track and reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and shipped units. You will coordinate with a CPA firm on filings, reconciliations, and compliance.
  • Oversee Revenue & Billing Systems: You will administer the billing stack (Chargebee, Stripe, internal tools) to ensure accurate invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition. You will collaborate with sales on quoting, invoicing, and account setup. You will monitor payment status, manage collections, and coordinate when to extend terms or escalate. You will ensure sales tax is applied correctly and stay compliant with evolving multi-state tax rules.
  • Drive Budgeting & Forecasting: You will work directly with the CEO and other departments to lead budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and scenario modeling. You will build models to support hiring, pricing, and growth decisions. You will track key financial and operational metrics and deliver clear financial summaries to leadership.
  • Coordinate with External Partners: You will support a CPA firm with tax filings, reconciliations, and compliance. You will assist with corporate tax preparation, 1099s, and multi-state sales tax monitoring using tools like Avalara. You will maintain audit-ready documentation and help fulfill ad hoc compliance and reporting requests.
  • Improve Financial Systems & Workflows: You will streamline financial processes through automation and better internal controls. You will maintain documentation in Notion and ensure systems scale with the business. You will lead process improvements across billing, reporting, and reconciliation workflows.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Accounting Experience: 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least one year in a SaaS or recurring revenue environment.
  • GAAP and SaaS Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP, SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, etc.), and revenue recognition principles.
  • Financial Tools: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Chargebee; familiarity with Stripe, Fyle (expense reports), Avalara (or similar), and Gusto is a plus.
  • Modeling & Reporting: Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modeling, forecasting, and dashboard creation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to document, explain, and collaborate clearly in a remote setting.
  • Self-Management: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a distributed, async-first team environment.

Benefits:

  • A fully remote position with a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation per year.
  • 10 paid days for local holidays.

*Please note we are only looking for full-time dedicated team members who are eager to fully integrate within our team.
